I have been feeling baby more and more everyday. It's usually when I'm laying down or sitting still (which during the day, I'm never sitting still!!) It feels almost like I'm having a weird muscle spasm in my tummy (sounds bad, but it's amazing). Hopefully I will get to post some better sonogram pics after Monday, but here are the latest belly pics. Todd and I want to send out Christmas cards (a little late, I know), but we keep forgetting to ask people to take a pic of us when they come over. Oh well, we will just send out cards extra late and then maybe the belly will be more impressive by then. I know it's obvious I'm pregnant now because I have strangers making comments like, "oh, so you're having a baby?" or my favorite so far was at the movie theatre when TWO different people asked me, "Would you like a pickle to go with the popcorn? I know you want one!!" HAHA! Typical craving stereotype. I only wanted pickles once and now the thought of them makes me kind of nauseated. :) Happy Holidays to all!!

New Car!!
So, Todd and I got a new car this weekend!! It's a gorgeous Cadillac CTS. I am so thrilled. It's a big upgrade from my Dodge Stratus, that's for sure. I think baby T will look so much cooler in a caddy. ;-) We go back to the doctor on Monday, and as always, I'm really excited to see the little man. Yes, we've thought of names, but we don't want to settle on one name until later. I have a few in mind that I really like and there are only a couple boy names that Todd and I have actually agreed on. So...I've got some convincing to do. haha!

Almost half way through!
It's always hard going back to work after a long break, but this week surprisingly flew by! Christmas break will be here before I know it! :) So, we're about 20 weeks into the pregnancy which is halfway through. It's hard to believe it's already getting so close. Today, a friend of mine (Rita) gave little Todd Junior the cutest blanket, pillow, and little baby tube! It makes me really excited to get baby gifts and to image our little one wrapped up in the little blankey that Rita sewed. :) I also had someone at work today (who didn't know I was pregnant), ask me, "Are you expecting?!" It's kind of a relief that my belly is looking more like a pregnant belly than a layer of winter fat. :) hehe! Here's is the latest belly pic. Todd got home from Mexico today (he was gone all week), and was laughing at my stomach while saying, "It's really getting big!" Wait until I'm 38 weeks and blown up like a whale...then we'll see if he's laughing about it. ;-) I also posted a pic of the A&M tree I decorated last night. I am quite proud. The picture doesn't do it any justice (and it looks a bit crooked in the pic). :)

It's a....BOY!!!!
Well, it's officially a BOY! :) We were convinced it was a girl, so we were very surprised! I even had to change my blog background because I had it all pinked-out. :) I think it will be great to have an older brother for my little girl (hopefully one day, there will be a little girl). I made the decision that if our next baby is a boy too, we'll just have to try a third time. Too bad Todd doesn't know about this yet. ;-) I will have to post the new sono. pics as soon as I take some from my phone. He wouldn't turn on his back, so we didn't get any good profile pics of the little man, but we got some great pics of the "goods." :) HAHAHA! He will be so embarrassed to learn that his man parts were the talk of 2009 Thanksgiving and that his first outfit is a little pink dress from his Nanny (that's how confident Karen was that it was a girl!). I recently read my first blog on here (and the list of things we have to accomplish), and it makes me laugh. This summer opened our eyes to how badly we both wanted a family, and our list was pretty much put on the backburner. We are so extremely blessed, and our little man is already opening our eyes to a new, exciting life that awaits us. I can't wait to meet him. :)

one day until Thanksgiving!
I've never been more ready for the Thanksgiving break! First of all, no work, second, I get to pig out on some Thanksgiving eats, and thirdly, we get to go to the doc to find out if the baby is a boy/girl! :) I can't wait! My belly is officially obvious (at least, the kids at school are now noticing). It's finally starting to sink in that I am really pregnant. You would think the sonograms would be proof enough, but I guess it doesn't feel real until you see your body changing. The kids at school have been so funny. Even kids that don't know me are finding out and saying, "When are you having your baby?" or "Is it a boy or girl?" One of my students was standing next to me yesterday, put her hands on my belly and said, "Hi little guy." :) It was too cute. Working with kids while your pregnant seems to make the pregnancy that much more enjoyable. They are really sweet about the whole thing. I'll finish this blog with a memorable quote from one of my students. After falling out of her chair twice in one day and having me ask why this was happening, her response: "I don't know.....I guess since it's fall???" Too funny. :)

17 week update
So, it's been way too long since I've typed up a blog, but I kinda forget I have it (plus, I don't know if anyone is actually reading it..so if you are, let me know). :) My belly is come and go as of now. Some days I definitely look pregnant and some days, the bump just kinda disappears. Example below:
The first pic was taken on Oct. 21 and the second one on Oct. 27.... and a few days later, my belly looked just like pic one all over again. I just took another one and will try to post it (if it will load!) We will hopefully find out if it's a boy/girl (if baby cooperates) next Tuesday. I can't wait to go back and see how baby has grown. As of now, baby is supposed to be the size of an onion. I weigh more that I've weighed since my freshman year of college (yes... I gained the freshman 15!), but I know it's all for the baby (that's usually what I say as I chow down my meals..HAHA!) My computer is being extremely sloooow, so I better go before I throw it through the wall. ;-) Here's today's belly pic (at 17 weeks...about 4 months along)

12 week visit to the doctor!
Todd and I went to the doctor on Monday and got to see our little "plum," lively as could be!! :) He/She was moving so much, twisting and turning, putting their little hands on their face. It was amazing! One craving I can't seem to shake (even though it's soo unhealthy), is Jack in the Box tacos! My mom and Aunt Robin will be proud (they absolutely love Jack's tacos). I have no idea why, but Todd and I went to get some lunch there one day (it's the closest place to our house), and I wanted their tacos. I have been craving them since. Poor baby already has a little tub tub on him/her. The sono tech. said, "Look at that little belly! Those babies love to eat, eat, eat!" Well, mommy probably needs to stop feeding baby oreos and Jack in the box tacos so baby doesn't get too chunky! HAHA! :) Here's a little pic of our precious little one. I also made a little baby guessing pool where people can guess whether it's a girl/boy, the weight, date/time they will be born, and length. It will be so much fun watching what everyone thinks!

Yes..It's true...we're having a BABY! :)
So, I guess now that I'm at the 12 week mark, it's ok to make it official that I'm preggers! :) We found out on the early morning of August 19th (my first week back to work), and have been to the doc twice since then. We go back for our 12 week check up tomorrow, and I'm absolutely thrilled! I can't wait to see the little "plum" (that's about the size they should be now), on a sono. and hear the beautiful sound of their heartbeat. We don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet, but Todd's mom is pretty convinced it's a girl (that's what the Chinese calendar predicts too). We'll see. ;-) Here is a pic. of my 8 weeks sonogram and today's 12 week picture of my belly. Not too much to see yet (except what I call "baby bloat" and a fat layer that has suddenly showed up around my tummy). :) HA!

Back to the real world!
Todd and I just got back from our amazing trip to Europe a few weeks ago. I feel so blessed to have been able to go on such a grand trip! We went to Munich, venice, Rome, and Paris. Four places in 11 days...quite exhausting...but well worth it! We've both been so incredibly busy since we got back that we haven't even had a chance to develop our photos. I'm planning on crossing that off my to-do list this beautiful Good Friday afternoon. This is my first blog and to be quite honest, I am not real sure what to write...so I guess I'll list the top 10 important things going on in our lives recently:
1-We've made a list of things to do before having a family and have crossed off 3 things. That leaves about 9 more!! :) SO those of you asking when we're having a baby...we've got things to do/ people to see before signing up for that kind of responsibility!
2-We went to San Francisco/Napa valley this past November and had such a great time. I would love to move there one day
3-We have a boxer dog named Sadie and a cat named Mali...they are our babies for the time being. :)
4-As I've already mentioned, we finally made the big trip to Europe (one of the things on our list), and enjoyed every minute! (even the 2 nights on a train and walking all the way around venice looking for our hotel with all our bags in-tow...I can laugh about it now!)
5- Todd has been working for GE/Rexel for 5 years and has made quite a name for himself. I can't remember what his exact title is, but I know it's pretty important!! :)
6-I've been teaching at the same school, Fairmeadows, for 3 years and have recently decided to stay for my 4th (unless...they choose otherwise...HAHA..hopefully not!)
7-We bought a house 2 years ago in Arlington and just got our swimming pool up and running for the summer! Give us a call if ya wanna go swimmin...we love the company!
8-We fostered a boxer dog through Legacy Boxer Rescue (another thing on our list), and didn't have quite the experience we expected...sad story short, I don't think we will do that again. :(
9-I ran a half marathon in November (checked off our list!) and finished in 2 hours, 13 minutes....way better than I could ever imagine! I would like to run another one...but I think my body would hate me..:)
10-I have walked in the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer 3-day for the past 2 years...I chose not to sign up this year because I didn't want to stress about raising $2,300!! I'll be there supporting my friend Leslie and her mom, Penny. :)
11-This had apparently turned into 10 things about me (I'll let Todd add more about him later), :) but one more thing we're working on checking off our list: Fixing up our house. We plan on tiling the back room, adding on to the master bathroom, and are in the process of fixing the outer part of our house. We'll keep you updated on how things work out...until then, Happy Easter weekend!
